The courses offered are as follows:

• B.Ed Arts

Requirements: Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE or a Diploma holder in Education from a recognized

institution (may be admitted in 2nd year of study).

• B.Ed Science

Requirements: Minimum Mean Grade of C+ at KCSE or MUST have at least grade C (plain) and above in

Maths at KCSE level.

B.Ed (Early Childhood & Primary Education)

Requirements: Minimum grade of C+ at KCSE or its equivalent A‐level 2 principal and a subsidiary pass in

relevant subjects. A diploma holder in education from a recognized institution (may join 2nd year). Applicants

with P1/S1/diploma in ECD certificates may be considered for B.Ed (Early childhood and primary education)

programme. (Applicants will join the 1st year of study)

• B. Ed (Special Education) & B.Ed (Guidance & Counselling)

Requirements: Minimum grade of C+ at KCSE or its equivalent A‐level 2 principal and a subsidiary pass in

relevant subjects. A diploma holder in education from a recognized institution (may join 2nd year). Applicants

with P1/S1/diploma in ECD certificates may be considered for B.Ed (Early childhood and primary education)

programme. (Applicants will join the 1st year of study).

• B.A Social Work

Requirements: Mean grade of C+ at KCSE. Two principal passes and a subsidiary pass at A level. A diploma in

a related discipline from a recognized institution.

• B.A Community Development

Requirements: Mean grade of C+ at KCSE. Two principal passes and the subsidiary pass at A level. A diploma

in a related discipline from a recognized institution.

• B.A Public Administration

Requirements: Mean grade of C+ at KCSE. Two principal passes and the subsidiary pass at A‐level. A diploma

in a related discipline from a recognized institution.

• B.A Cultural Studies

Requirements: Mean grade of C+ at KCSE. Two principal passes and the subsidiary pass at A‐level. A diploma

in a related discipline from a recognized institution.

Requirements: Second Class Bachelor’s Degree (Upper Division) in Education or Second Class
